Volunteer Fair and National Make A Difference Day a Sucess
National Make A Difference Day Expands in 2009 and it is a Hit
The Cape Fear Volunteer Center partnered with local businesses including the Junior League of Wilmington, Target, The Front Street Brewery, Fisherman's Post Magazine, Golden Corral, Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, Fuss Budget Promotions, Star News' Si Cantwell, Big Buddy, UNCW, Global River Church, Port City Java,and local community volunteers to bring to the Southeast region the third annual National Make A Difference Day Big and Little Buddy Fishing Event, part of the large Make A Difference Week taking place all over town. Photos will be posted as made available from photographers. Thank you to all who helped. Congratulations to the winners in each of the fishing categories. We hope everyone that participated will be back again next year.
